At Heyhey, we take fun very, very seriously. We're trying to make the world a better place using design thought and strategy. We're small, but we're connected to a diverse and talented group of creative professionals and organizations. Our friends are photographers, web developers, architects, anthropologists, design theorists, food stylists, cracker-makers, and 3D printing consultants. Whatever we come up with together, we can make happen.
A graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art with a BFA in graphic design (and minors in photography, printmaking, and anthropology), Nolan Beck-Rivera started Heyhey when he decided that his job was awful and that his time would be better spent helping energetic, creative people accomplish their goals. His approach to design is through play and exploration, rooted in research and theory. He has two cats named after architects and a dog named after a Greek goddess. Nolan sits on the board of the Cleveland Print Room and Motogo Cleveland, and is active on advisory boards with the LGBT Center of Greater Cleveland and Ingenuity Cleveland. He is a member of AIGA Cleveland and the Eames Foundation.
We feel privileged to work with non profits and small businesses. Heyhey sponsors a scholarship for a design student at the Cleveland Institute of Art, and in 2016, we donated over $51,000 of in-kind work to community organizations in the Cleveland area.
We are now based in Richmond, Virginia.
